Guru Rimpoche in Zhiyun Buddhist Monastery near Lijiang, China

Image of Guru Rimpoche in Zhiyun Monastery, a Tibetan style Buddhist temple under construction near Lijiang, China. Some Tibetan Buddhists believe that Guru Rimpoche is in fact the second incarnation of Buddha Siddhartha Gautama himself. In Bhutan there were many images of Guru Rimpoche, but since photography is strictly off limits inside Bhutanese temples, I was excited to be able to make photographs in this style temple in China.

I made this image handheld with my Canon EOS 6D 20.2 MP DSLR with the EF24-105mm L IS Lens.
